T-Shirts:

The UWO Chemistry Club T-shirt's have been available for pick up the past week and are currently still available. They can also be purchased at the office if you did not order one.

Holiday Party:

On November the 24th, the Chemistry Club will be hosting the annual holiday party at the wave. All members are welcome. More information will be available soon.

Bowling:

The Chemistry Club is planning a bowling event. The exact date and detailed information will be available soon.

Merchandise:

The Chemistry Club is also currently designing new merchandise for purchase in the future months. Items may include Pull-over Hoodies, Zip-up Hoodies, Cardigans, Mugs, etc.

Due to technical difficulties, this website has been inactively updated on a regular basis up until Now. The website will now update you on the most recent and up-to-date information through postings. Future exam tutorials, events and merchandise informations will be posted.

This years first chemistry club meeting was a success.

The meeting discussed various aspects of the club and its upcoming events.

These included: social events, intramural sports, tutorials, NSERC/ICE and National Chemistry Week.

First General Meeting

Our first general meeting will be Thursday, October 6, at 5:30 in Chem B. 115 (this is on the main floor just past the turn off to the first year labs). Anyone who wants to join the club (first years) and/or would like to order this year's amazing chem t-shirt ($15) can do so at the end of this meeting.

First/Second Year Reps

Applications for first and second year rep can be sent to Mel (mlui8@uwo.ca) and must be received by Wednesday, September 21, at 5:30pm. Please send a short email with the following info:

- Name

- Year (1st or 2nd)

- A little about yourself

- Why you think you'd be a good class rep

- Lecture section (if 1st year candidate)

- Time you're available for a max. 10 minute informal interview either Friday, Sept. 23, or Monday, Sept. 26.

Intramurals

We are now registered in a non-competitive, co-ed soccer league. If you're interested, please email Amanda B. (abailla@uwo.ca) for more information.

National Chemistry Week (Oct. 15-22)

This year, the Chem Club will have a booth set up at White Oaks Mall on October 22 to celebrate National Chemistry Week. The experiments we'll be doing at the mall will include dry ice, liquid nitrogen, and making slime. This is a lot of fun (check out the "Pictures" tab above!), so if you want to volunteer, email Sheneth (shenethf32@uwo.ca) or sign up at the first meeting.

T-Shirts

The t-shirts this year are blue American Apparel v-necks and will be sold for $15. The front will have the W(ester)n symbol in white and the phrase "Heisenberg may have been here?!" on the back. If you are interested in ordering a t-shirt, please email Taylor (tmarti46@uwo.ca).

Quaff with the Prof

The fall semester Quaff with the Prof will be held on September 29, 5:30pm at the Grad Club. Only 3rd and 4th year chemistry students are invited to this event.
